Sideways Chair

The Sideways Lounge Chair is an addition to the Sideways Sofa and footstool. Just like the original sofa, the design use classic materials that have been shaped to enhance human interaction. I truly believe that we need to balance the use of digital devices and face each other in person and be more present, so that’s why the rounded shape in the chair leads you to turn to the person next to you in a way that is still comfortable. The curve in the front of the chair envites you to sit and the curve makes the  footstool fit in perfectly.

I have used circular lines throughout the series to evoke balance and harmony, while the use of natural materials and detailed craftmanship not only add aesthetic values, but also bring tactile experiences to the design.
